DeFi Academy

I have been in crypto for over 7 years. This is THE course I wish I had when I started off. Back then there weren't many trustworthy sources of information. Also, most sites were either done by random bloggers (too generic) or tech experts (too technical). What DeFi Education has managed to achieve is a blend between the two and the results have been fantastic, to say the least! With regards to this course, the section on security alone is worth the price of the course. I have seen and read tonnes of info on safeguarding your crypto. None of the free sources have it as detailed as these guys. If you are serious about crypto and believe in its future, it's best to start off on the right footing and sign up for this course :)

The DeFi academy was something that was easy to spend money on as Owl and Iguana have been providing alpha on Twitter and through the DeFi education blog for several years now, so it was a pretty easy decision. Thanks to their content, I've earned many multiples of $600 that the academy costs. Once you are in, the interface is fairly simple, a menu, 9 modules, with each module having on average 5 videos. The videos are all around 10 minutes, the instructors do not spend any time on noise, every minute is filled with relevant information and examples. While blockchain fundamentals and the defi ecosystem are for more basic participants to get up to speed quickly, modules on fundamental analysis, tokenomics, portfolio construction, tooling, etc. are great even for seasoned crypto professionals such as myself. I learned many new things, while reinforcing and adding different perspectives on things that I had a decent baseline on before. Then there were modules that blew my mind a bit. For example, the social presence, I found important, I quickly realized that I am probably a 1.5 out of 10 of my potential here, from both, a relevance and earnings perspective. And the elite crypto security section was a masterclass in what I would expect at the best hedge-funds/exchanges/custodians (who knew that Express VPN is just scratching the surface of internet privacy,,,,it goes deeper,,,much deeper). Recommend this to anyone who is just entering the crypto space, or someone who has been around for more than one cycle looking to improve their game.

After years of following the world of DeFi at a distance, I always knew I wanted to get involved. Unfortunately, despite almost a year of trying I just couldn't seem to get anything going. After following the DeFi Academy I instantly knew what I was doing wrong: I simply didn't understand DeFi. The Academy gave me a step by step plan to get involved and build a career in DeFi. It contained all the information I needed to understand the industry and provided me with many valuable and concrete lessons that I could instantly apply. I now use DeFi safely, since The Academy showed me how to build a VPN and transact securely. It taught me how to evaluate my investments properly and understand what I was buying when I bought tokens. I could not recommend this course enough.

Really enjoyed the course. I've been working in crypto for over a year now (including the last 6 months as an analyst at a fund) so wasn't sure how much I'd learn, but I love the research these guys publish on the DeFi Education Substack so I decided to purchase anyways. Happy to say it was a great decision. While I was very familiar with the information in the blockchain/defi and fundamental analysis sections, they seemed excellent for a beginner to get up to speed. As a finance person without a software background, I most appreciated the audit analysis and security sections of the course, which significantly leveled up my abilities to evaluate the security of different projects I look at (and improve my own). Also found the sections on identifying catalysts and portfolio management to be helpful for my own idea sourcing and trading. It does a great job of teaching you how to think for yourself which is critical as an investor. Altogether I'd say this course has something for you, whether you're a beginner or an expert. Owl and Iguana are pros in an industry that remains full of too many grifters, scammers, and degens without real crypto knowledge. Well worth the price.

I wasn't new to crypto, investing in the space, but I am certainly no tech savant. I had already self custodied assets for years following what I believed to be best practices. I had interacted some with Defi protocols a little, dabbled in NFTs, bridges, metamask, etc. I had experience with tradfi previously but had never worked with options, futures or insurance products with regard to crypto. As a someone working in DeFi, I can't praise Bowtied Bulls' The Academy enough. This platform isn't just for beginners; it's a treasure trove of knowledge for DeFi veterans too. The Academy's courses cover everything from basics to advanced strategies, in a very concise thoughtful way. The structured curriculum and interactive content are top-notch. The community adds a supportive touch, connecting you with fellow DeFi enthusiasts. The Academy is a must for anyone passionate about DeFi, whether you're new or a pro. It has greatly enriched my knowledge and skills, and I highly recommend it to anyone in the DeFi space.

The course gives a comprehensive background on Crypto. Giving the reader a fundamental understanding of the history and current developments in the space. All DeFi concepts are explained in a clear manner from the ground up. Besides information, it includes a lot of guidance and tips to continue expanding your knowledge about DeFi and protocols. Providing a good starting point to develop your skills and knowledge further. Essential best safety practices are covered as well, which is very useful and will help you protect yourself and your assets. If you are looking to get started, expand your understand and learn more in a structured fashion I would highly recommend this course. Utility Chad

As someone with an engineering background, I had a solid grasp of blockchain and DeFi basics before taking this course. The 'Alpha Corner' section proved to be an invaluable resource for me. In this section, the Defi-Ed team delves into crafting a thesis, dissecting tokenomics, and effectively managing portfolio risk – topics I wasn't aware I needed to master. The section on tokenomics provided me with immediate insights. It shed light on a significant aspect of one of my investments that I had previously overlooked, prompting me to reduce risk based on what I learned. This alone justified the cost of the course in my opinion. For those who are new to blockchain and Web3, the introductory sections covering the fundamentals are an excellent starting point, whether you're an engineer or an investor looking for a well-rounded understanding. You could spend an entire year piecing together this knowledge independently or simply get it here. I even learned about derivatives, a concept I thought I had a good grasp of before taking this course! If you're knowledgeable, some sections of this course might be review. However, there are sections that I think can benefit any background. A beginner would benefit from the entire thing. I don't know what was missed.
